Increased number of visitors expected at FOODTECH 2021

The exceedingly positive results of a survey regarding the intent to visit FOODTECH 2021 foreshadow the increased number of visitors as well as the commercial success of the trade show.

The FOODTECH trade show organizers, in order to investigate the intention of Food & Beverage professionals to visit the 2021 fair, conducted an online survey which took place between 17.03-05.04.2021 with the participation of 820 potential visitors, of which 52,9% had not attended the previous event.

The representatives of the businesses participating in the survey were owners, executives and decision-makers and covered the entirety of the industry as follows: 45.2% bakeries & confectioneries, 15.6% wholesale and organized retail, 10.3% wine, beverages, beer, water, juices, coffee, 9% olive oil, table olives, honey, spices and herbs, 7.9% meat, fish and frozen food, 5.9% dairy and cheese products, 3.1% fruit and vegetables, 3.1% ready-made meals and canned food.

88% intends to visit FOODTECH 2021

The exceedingly positive results of the survey confirm the fact that for industry professionals, FOODTECH is a meeting point with businesses that play a prominent role in the transformation and technological development of the Food & Beverage sector, not to mention a leading trade forum where they can be informed on innovative ideas and solutions, as well as new technologies for the modernization of their respective company’s production, processing and supply chains.

Intention to visit FOODTECH 2021

Based on the fact that the epidemiological data will allow the safe organization of physical FOODTECH on November 13-16, 2021, do you intend to visit the exhibition?

Namely, 88% of participants in the online survey stated that they are likely to visit FOODTECH 2021. At this point, it is worth noting that 79% of respondents believe that, based on the ever-increasing vaccination pace, in November the health conditions will allow the safe organization of the physical trade show.

Furthermore, 70% of professional that did not attend the trade show in 2019, suggested that they would visit the 2021 event. This large percentage shows the impact of the exhibition and how urgently the industry needs it, especially during this particular time when everyone is trying to adapt to the post-Covid reality.

In addition, 83.8% of respondents believe that the co-organization of the FOODTECH and ARTOZA trade shows will offer them additional commercial benefits; a fact that confirms the decision of the organizers to arrange for their coordinated occurrence in the first place.

Finally, 76.9% of respondents agree with the decision to run both a FOODTECH digital edition and the physical trade show in parallel, via a custom-made platform allowing those exhibitors and buyers that will not be able to visit the event in person to hold one on one meetings through video calls. In fact, 66.6% of them state that if they do not eventually manage to attend the physical show, they will use the online platform to get in touch with exhibitors.
