Flow – Vac line packaging

Vamvacas Industrial Equipment S.A. presents «FLOW-VAC» line packaging, which comprises of a horizontal Flow – Pack packaging machine and an automatic vacuum machine.

The Flow–VAC line of ULMA combines the flexibility of horizontal flow–pack packaging and the vacuum packaging of Sealed Air. On the flow–vac line, the operator can place non-uniform items. This application is ideal not only in the dairy/cheese making sector, but also in the meat product sector and mainly for irregularly cut products. It is an application that perfectly suits slaughter houses that wish to pack bulky products right after slaughtering. Using this line, the operator can define from the beginning what he wants to cut and then pack in a vacuum.

There are many advantages in using this line. To start, less contamination occurs because the products are not touched by human hands. In addition, there is less waste of the final product (food waste). Another advantage is that the packing length is defined depending on the length of the product. This way the product is optimised while at the same time saving consumables.

Another advantage is that the company does not need to stock shrinking bags in various sizes, because the machine itself forms open bags depending on the size of the product. Saving consumables is achieved this way.

Finally, another important advantage of this technology is that because vacuum packing immediately follows the previous phase, additional personnel is not needed to load the product from the loading area of the flow–vac to the vacuum packing chamber.
