FOODTECH 2025: Impressive premiere with a Global Character
The first day of FOODTECH 2025 concluded with energy, innovation, and international resonance, confirming its role as a leading meeting point for the Food & Beverage industry. The official opening of the exhibition took place in the presence of Deputy Minister of Development Lazaros Tsavdaridis, marking the beginning of an event of strategic importance for Greek industry.
With thousands of professionals arriving early at the Metropolitan Expo, the first day was defined by intense business activity, technological presentations, and meaningful interactions. Industry owners, R&D managers, production directors, and logistics executives were at the heart of developments, seeking solutions to modernize and digitize their operations.
International attendance was remarkable, with 200 key buyers from strategic foreign markets participating in targeted B2B meetings with exhibitors, enhancing the commercial prospects of the exhibition.
At the F&B NEXT-GEN Stage in Hall 2, discussions focused on safety, innovation, and robotic applications in production. Case studies from the Greek and international markets highlighted new possibilities in automation and sustainable manufacturing.
Additional sessions showcased the latest developments in the sector. Standout presentations included DAIRY LAB, emphasizing innovation in dairy production, and TRENDS & INNOVATION, which focused on artificial intelligence, food safety, and modern challenges.
Particular interest was drawn by the session “Integrating AI in Food Safety and Quality,” as well as the “Living Labs,” where co-creation of solutions with producers and industry was demonstrated. The presentation “Nature’s Alliance: Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Propolis – Innovation in Superfoods” highlighted the power of natural ingredients, while “Smart Labels That ‘Speak’ to the Consumer” introduced a new dimension in product-consumer interaction.
Visitors also had the opportunity to explore the complementary GLOBAL PACK exhibition, which featured modern machinery, sustainable materials, and packaging technologies that offer a competitive edge to products.
The first day of FOODTECH 2025 proved that the exhibition is not merely a trade event, but a hub of technology, knowledge, and business evolution. The coming days are expected to be equally dynamic, with a new cycle of presentations, networking, and commercial agreements.
