ARTOZA & FOODTECH 2021: Impressive opening ceremony for the powerful exhibition duo

Representatives of the local political life and from the industries’ institutions attended the opening ceremony of FOODTECH and ARTOZA 2021

The official opening of FOODTECH and ARTOZA 2021 exhibitions was held with great success and in an atmosphere of enthusiasm by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Spilios Livanos, at the METROPOLITAN EXPO exhibition center, on Friday, November 12, at 12:00, with the presence of Greek Bakery and Confectionery, as well as the Food and Beverage Industry.

The dynamic exhibition duo that premiered today in the Greek market will take place until November 15, 2021 and will highlight the important synergies and multiple benefits that arise for exhibitors and visitors of both FOODTECH and ARTOZA.

During the inauguration, short greetings were addressed by the General Manager of the Association of Greek Food Industries (SEVT) Mrs. Vasso Papadimitriou, the President of the Hellenic Federation of Bakers Mr. Michalis Mousios, the President of the Hellenic Federation of professional Confectioners Mr. Giannis Glykos and George Kavvathas, President of GSEVEE.

Mr. Peter Ottman, CEO NürnbergMesse Group, who owns the exhibition organizing company, FORUM SA, stated that the family of exhibitions is like the Greek family and thanked Hellenic Federation of Bakers and the Hellenic Federation of professional Confectioners for the cooperation for the last 30 years. He added that: “ARTOZA, one of the oldest exhibitions, joins forces this year with FOODTECH, one of the newest exhibitions of the company. Paraphrasing a well-known saying of Socrates, Mr. Ottman said that just as a good meal brings good people together, so good reports bring good people together. Good luck”.

Then the Vice President of FORUM SA, Mr. Thanassis Gialouris called the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Spilios Livanos, who stated that in a period of battle with the coronavirus, a covid free exhibition shows the way and added that this year the FOODTECH exhibition had a sweeter taste thanks to its co-organization with ARTOZA.

Mr. Livanos expressed optimism that “the agri-food sector can be the key to the required transformation of our productive model and attract foreign investment”, but in order to do so it is “necessary to invest in new technologies, innovation, education and training. FOODTECH and ARTOZA contribute exactly in this direction, that is why we support them and we will support them with all our forces.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by dozens of executives from leading companies in the food and beverage industry and the bakery and confectionery industry, as well as institutional representatives from the F&B and bakery and confectionery industry.

Moreover, the opening of the two exhibitions, which took place in Room C2 in Lobby 2, attended Mr. Odysseas Konstantinopoulos, Deputy Speaker of Parliament & Member of Parliament for Arcadia KIN.AL,  Mr. Alexos Lagoudakis, CEO of ROTA Mr. Theodoros Vokos, Director of “Poseidonia” and Mr. Nikiforos Maragos, CEO of MG MEDIA EXPO.

The event was honored by the presence of the Ambassador of India Mr. Amrit Lugun, Mr. Lee Jung IL, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Kamal Noha, Commercial Attorney of the Embassy of Egypt, Mr. Mag Sturm Christoph, Commercial Attorney of the Embassy of Austria, Mr. Karom Atika, Commercial Attorney of the Embassy of Morocco, , Ms. Karagianni Irini, Commercial Assistant of the Embassy of the United States of America, Mr. George Bonanos Commercial Specialist of the Embassy of the United States of America, Mr. Wuri Arthur, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the United States of America and Mrs. Kseniia Andriianova, Secretary of the Embassy of Russia.

After the opening, the officials had the opportunity to walk through HALL 1,2 where the FOODTECH exhibition is being held, and HALL 3, where ARTOZA is being held.
