FOODTECH 2023: 15,180 F&B executives, deals, investments, innovations

Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation of F&B businesses were at the center of discussion for three days, with FOODTECH exhibitors presenting the next day of food processing.

15,180 visitors, 562 international buyers, numerous trade deals and meetings… FOODTECH 2023 was a dynamic trade forum, a center of innovations and technological developments for the food and beverage industry.

The market leaders presented new generation equipment and technological developments that lead the businesses of the f&b sector to Industry 4.0, digitalization in the era of interconnection, to 15,180 executives of the Greek industry – among them 5,252 from productive and commercial food and beverage businesses and 2,019 from retail and wholesale of food and beverages-. For three days, innovation, modern robotic systems, digital applications, and services that help to improve and automate a company’s production line as well as food and beverage production in accordance with all safety standards highlighted the stands of the exhibitors.

Significant benefits from co-organization with GLOBAL PACK

The co-organization of FOODTECH and GLOBAL PACK provided a number of commercial benefits to FOODTECH exhibitors, enabling them to expand their clientele with new dynamic customers and grow their product distribution network. On the other hand, visitors, alongside the technological developments for the production & processing of food that they discovered at FOODTECH, had the opportunity to visit GLOBAL PACK and see from the best on the market, specialized packaging solutions, global trends in sector of sustainable packaging, digital tools to digitally transform a packaging line for immediate productivity improvement, cost reduction and production increase.

Dynamic presence of international buyers

FOODTECH 2023 attracted 562 important buyers from abroad, who during the three days of the exhibition, held a significant number of meetings with the exhibitors, discussed the needs of their business, started new partnerships and found new suppliers. It is worth noting that 250 visited the exhibition through the Hosted Buyer program and held a significant number of b2b meetings with the exhibitors.

Thus, the hosted buyers program offered an outlet for the extroversion of Greek businesses and opened important new trade routes for exhibitors. The hosted buyers came from target markets all over the world such as: Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, S. Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Lebanon, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Poland.

The next day of F&B processing at the center of Workshops & Seminars

The FOODTECH Workshops & Seminars were a great success. During the exhibition, presentations were made for three days by market executives, academics, representatives of institutional bodies, scientists of the food and beverage production sector, on the issues that concern the F&B industry. The new data that is transforming the production industry in Greece and globally, was highlighted through a wide range of topics that included case studies of the market, panels on the innovative applications of robotics in the production areas, speeches on applied food and beverage safety technologies.
