Innovation & trends starred on the opening day of the exhibition
The lights on the exhibitor booths went out for the first day of the trade show, a day in which pioneering solutions, discussions and networking dominated.
With innovative technologies, pioneering ideas, the first day of FOODTECH 2023 was successfully completed. Business owners, factory managers, production engineers, quality control managers, R&D managers, logistics managers, procurement managers, etc. attended the exhibition since early in the morning, confirming the expectations that FOODTECH is the meeting point and investment options hub for owners and specialized executives of all productive and commercial F&B businesses.
The attendance from international visitors was high, while at the same time the 300 key buyers from selected foreign markets that joined the Hosted Buyers Program participated in continuous meetings with the exhibitors at the hosted buyers area at Ηall 3. Also, as observed from the mobility between Halls, many owners and executives of productive and commercial companies in the industry also visited the new Global Pack packaging exhibition, to see up close all the products and services related to the latest developments and innovations in the technological equipment of packaging machinery and automation, packaging materials, printing, storage and logistics.
Innovation, inspiration, information and interaction were the focus of the events that were held on the 1st day of the exhibition during the FOODTECH Workshops & Seminars at Hall 2. The 1st day started with workshops about safety culture and innovation, as components in modern industrial production, food packaging and non-food, which was also the title of the EL.A.F.T Workshop. Hot issues such as: nutritional myths, safety and innovation in food packaging and food production were analyzed.

Finally, the official opening of FOODTECH took place with the launch of the exhibition, by the Secretary General of Trade & Consumer Protection at Ministry of Development, Sotiris Anagnostopoulos , in the presence of Peter Ottmann, CEO of Nürnberg Messe and a number of representatives of the sector’s institutional bodies, as well as market executives.
