From the first moment FOODTECH was announced, there was an enormous response from leading companies in the industry who wanted to participate. Now that the exhibition ended, the 200 exhibitors state that “The industry needed this exhibition”.
The success of 1st FOODTECH is reflected in the positive statements of exhibitors, the majority of whom not only express their great satisfaction but also confirm that their industry needed this exhibition. The sheer size and length of the advertising campaign, the presence of 150 select buyers from 50 countries from all over the world, the high organizational level, the presence of thousands of executives from the food and beverage production and processing industry, and the multitude and quality of the commercial contacts prevail in all exhibitor statements. Taking into account the numerous important deals concluded between the exhibitors and the visitors, FOODTECH was characterized by great commercial success in its entirety.
Strengthening trade links with the domestic and global markets
Both Greek and foreign exhibitors at the 1st FOODTECH said they were completely satisfied as they were able to do substantial b2b meetings throughout the three days of the exhibition, which resulted either in immediate collaborations or in the renewal of appointments for final discussions right after the end of the exhibition. FOODTECH has been the ideal platform for exhibitors to present their products & services to the thousands of targeted professional visitors of the exhibition, to strengthen the partnerships they have so far, and to build new strategic business relationships that are necessary for growing their business and increase their economic activity.
Likelihood of participation in FOODTECH 2021
In particular, based on the statements made by the exhibitors to the reporters of FORUM, the combination of quality and quantity of professional visitors exceeded their expectations. Everyone was talking about the professionals who came to the exhibition knowing their needs, looking for specific products and services, and being ready to discuss and close deals. At the same time, the arrival of 300 buyers from international markets also left a very positive impression, with the 150 key buyers who participated in the Hosted Buyers Program and held b2b meetings with exhibitors being the “vehicle” for many Greek companies to expand their business abroad.

94% of exhibitors will also participate in FOODTECH 2021
Based on the findings of the survey conducted by ALCO on behalf of the organizing company, it is evident that FOODTECH 2019 has made a dynamic entry into the exhibition industry in Greece. A huge percentage of 91% of exhibitors are satisfied with their participation, and 94% say they will participate in FOODTECH 2021 as well, confirming that it was a trade show that the industry needed. The fact that 57% of exhibitors believe that their commercial objectives were well and sufficiently are significant indications that FOODTECH’s first organization was a huge commercial success. Very important findings on the commercial effectiveness of the exhibition are also the following: 31% of exhibitors closed deals with visitors during the exhibition while 96% estimate that they will close during the next 6 months. Also, 52% of the exhibitors participated in b2b meetings with hosted buyers and 87% were quite satisfied with the quality of these meetings and the resulting business opportunities.
