FOODTECH & GLOBAL PACK 2025: Inauguration That Shapes the Future of Industry
This year’s inauguration of GLOBAL PACK & FOODTECH 2025 took place on November 7 at the Metropolitan Expo, marking the beginning of a high-strategic-value event for the food and packaging industries.
In a festive atmosphere and with the presence of leading representatives from the political, institutional, and business worlds, the official opening of the FOODTECH and GLOBAL PACK 2025 exhibitions was held. These two major events, running concurrently from November 7 to 10 at the Metropolitan Expo, signal the dawn of a new era for the food and packaging industries.
This year’s event brings together more than 300 leading companies from Greece and abroad, showcasing the latest developments in food and beverage processing technology, as well as innovations in the packaging industry.
The opening was marked by dynamic speeches and presentations focusing on the collaboration between the two sectors, the need for sustainable solutions, and the strengthening of the extroversion of Greek industry.
FOODTECH & GLOBAL PACK 2025 is not just an exhibition meeting, but a hub of innovation, technology, and business networking, aiming to foster profitable commercial agreements and highlight strategic synergies among participants.
Mr. Thanasis Panagoulias, Chairman of BoD and CEO of FORUM SA – member of the NürnbergMesse Group – opened the event stating: “We are particularly proud that through this physical gathering – a miniature of the market – we managed to bring together the most important Greek manufacturing and commercial enterprises, as well as top visiting producers seeking solutions in equipment and packaging. The secret to the exhibition’s success is extroversion. Our vision is to evolve into an even larger event with greater international reach. I wish all exhibitors great business!”
Next, Mr. Ioannis Smarnakis, President of the Panhellenic Association of Food Technologists, said: “We are happy as food technologists to be here today and to have contributed to the success of this European-level exhibition”.
Following that, Mr. Vasilis Exarchos, President of HPPA and Cluster Managing Director of Dunapack Packaging S.A., stated: “Representing the industry, we continue to invest because we firmly believe in the potential of the Greek economy.”
Finally, Deputy Minister of Development Mr. Lazaros Tsavdaridis officially inaugurated the GLOBAL PACK and FOODTECH 2025 exhibitions, emphasizing: “I am delighted to be here today to inaugurate two exhibitions that mark the synergy of two of the most dynamic and interconnected sectors of the Greek economy: the food and beverage industry and the packaging industry”.
